These first two pictures are what I found when I came home from work. Beau had kept Grant one day while mom was gone, and of course built him another fort.:)
I mean how great do I look in this outfit! Thank you Doodaa!!

I don't know if anyone else can tell but he is getting more hair!! If you don't please be a friend and just pretend like you do:)

Grammy Daycare Begins

Ok, I'm sure a lot of you can relate, and a lot can not (which I am jealous), but this week school started. YUCK!! All week I have been in meetings, struggling to get my room together, and lesson plans completed. Last Saturday night my awesome mom moved here so she can keep Grant while I am at work. I felt sorry for her b/c when she arrived it hit me why she was here and I became a little emotional to say the least, but I realize how blessed I am and Grant is to have her here. I know the next question in ya'lls mind is "Will your mom be living with you?", and to that I say, I love my mother and she loves me, BUT she will not be living with us. Actually next Saturday she is moving into her own house that is only about 3 miles away!!:)

Anyway this week I came home almost everyday for lunch and some of my sweet friends came with me. Sorry about the pics being blurry, but mom had a hard time using my camera...
This pic is of my niece Sarah. She was so sweet to come spend the week with us to help Grammy. I miss her already. Love you Sarah!!!:) Grant misses you changing all his diapers and taking such good care of him!!

Radio Flyer Rocks

THIS IS THE COOLEST THING EVER!!
The 2nd grade teachers that I work with got Grant this Radio Flyer for my school shower. I love it, but not as much as Beau. He has a bit of an obsession with it. From the day we received this gift until tonight Beau has been asking, "Is he big enough yet to ride in it?" But actually tonight he didn't even ask he just took it upon himself to put Grant in for a ride. We were sitting in our basement living room (which please don't pay attention to the lack of decor, I haven't quite made it down there to decorate yet), and then I turn around and see this...

He loves it just as much as his daddy!! Beau pulled him around for probably 20 minutes, and Grant just held on and enjoyed the same view over and over again.

Another funny thing that Beau does all the time is he loves to get Grant in the morning and bring him to me. But unlike normal parents, he loves to hide around the corner where I can not see him and hold Grant's head around the door so that's all I can see. It really is cute. So tonight I decided to do my own little trick. I sat Grant on the bar stool and hid under it, so when Beau walked in all he would see is Grant sitting at the bar. The great thing about my trick is Beau wasn't paying attention and stood right in front of Grant, sat his keys down, looked up and freaked out a little bit!!! I am laughing right now b/c it was so funny. This really maybe one of those stories where you had to be there, so let me just tell you it was hilarious. Anyway this is what Beau saw...

Happy Real Half Birthday Grant

Happy Half Birthday Grant!!!!!!

I was sitting at my kitchen table yesterday when I turned around and found Grant with a bowl stuck to his head. I ran to get my camera and then put the bowl back on the floor, and this is what he does with it (video #1)...

#1

Then I decide since I have the camera out I would video some more. The second one is just of him mumbling:) da da da and squealing, and the third one was impressive to me b/c he almost stands up just using one hand.

Happy 6 Month Birthday Grant!! Kind of...

First of all thank you Josh and Amber for the precious "Grant" onesies!!! We love them!!

Now Grant doesn't actually turn 6 months until tomorrow, but we have a really busy day. So I am posting the long post now, and will post a quick post tomorrow of his 6 month pics I will take in the morning.

Ok I am going to steal this idea from Mere, and probably every other mom out there, but I am going to list all the things Grant is doing up to this point. So here we go...

  • You drool uncontrollably. I am ALWAYS thinking you are getting your first tooth and the doctor ALWAYS tells me you are not!
  • You are a baby who thinks he is a toddler.
  • You have always slept through the night since we have had you! You rock!!!:)
  • You started crawling when you were 4 months/2weeks old
  • 2 weeks after crawling you pulled up in your bed on your knees, and 3 DAYS after that you pulled up in your crib to your feet. Then you pulled up on everything!!
  • You got your first baby cold when you were 5 months, but thankfully it was the weekend we were going out of town so I got to give you Benadryl and you slept awesome:) Is that bad to say?
  • Last week you started to mumble da-da-da-da. You really aren't saying dada, you really are just mumbling, or that is what I like to tell myself!
  • Also last week, as seen in the pic after the Grant onesies, you are trying to stand up, but realize you can't since YOU ARE STILL A BABY!!
  • You sit up now without falling over.
  • You found your squeal and love to use it!
  • You get excited now when your daddy comes home from work. You love to laugh and play with him.
  • We know without a doubt that God gave you to us, and for that we are eternally grateful!
  • You make me smile every morning when I go get you out of bed, and I continue to smile the rest of the day because you are such a joy! We are so blessed to have you in our lives. I remember about 6 years ago when I began thinking about my future children, I began praying these verses for you then, and will continue to do so... "For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins." Colossians 1:9-14
  • We love you Ba-Ba (Grant)!!

Happy 12th Birthday Sarah!!

Sarah is the second granddaughter

And second niece on my side

She loves to sing

And sit on horses to ride:)

Sarah is the oldest of two brothers

Michael and Steven

She is a wonderful older sister

Caring and loving on her they can depend.

I was at the hospital

The day she was born

We all took turns holding her

We just stared and adored.

She is coming next week

To help Grammy take care of Grant
I've told them that if he gets out of control
Baby Einstein always puts him in a quiet trance.

Not Much to Say...But A Lot to Show

There is a random group of pics I decided to put on here, so instead of writing a lot about nothing, I will just put a caption under each pic. You are welcome:) Grant now likes to make out with his reflection on the stove!
He loves to pull up on his Doodaa basket...
and pull out toys. It is sooo fun to clean up afterwards!
Notice here that Beau is only holding one of Grant's hands. He is practically standing on his own!!!
This picture is just cute I don't care who you are:)

Beau's new favorite thing is to build forts for Grant. He loves it.

Watching T.V. at Uncle T and Aunt Mindy's.
Beau feeding Grant for the first time. Look how proud Beau is of himself.
